We had a pretty perfect down home Alaska Christmas. We started our night at the Calvary house for some carols, fellowship and a little "Go tell it on the mountain" improv. ;)
Santa was up rather late...3 am two nights in a row; so I am sure he was excited when the boys finally left food for the reindeer and dozed off...at 12 or so. (We tracked Santa on the NORAD website, so awesome!)Mike and I always try to keep the tradition of patience and enjoying and taking in eachother's gifts; but there is always the inevitable crazy ripping of paper all over the floor!
Logie loved his Power Ranger sword and phone/Noah loved his DS/Mike loved the pictures I took of the boys and especially all his gold panning goodies and his iHome among other things.
Mike and I really went all out this year and tried to give the boys a Christmas like we loved growing up. It is so worth it when you see the joy in their faces when they wake up! Here is one of Noah's favorite gifts, his new skateboard and Logie ended up loving his headlamp. Both gifted from Santa...what a smart little elf.
Jesus' birthday brought us warm sun on our faces which led to Mike and I taking the boys for an amazing drive out the road and ending at Auke Bay Harbor!
Although the day was cluttered with presents, packaging, paper, and other goodies it ended rather quietly with a movie, a new magazine or two that Santa got me with a heaping cup of tea. Here is a pic of one of my many gifts. Mike really spoiled me this year; these AMAZING Sorel boots, a new Marmot Coat...like below but in black and a SUPER cool Photo Cube from Office Depot. If you don't have the cube you're going to want one...it has a doc for your iphone or android and it prints pics right off your phone! I JUST LOVE IT...my mister knows me so well.
So from this little Alaskan family, Merry Christmas and we hope your day was merry and bright.
God Bless!
[I will try to post the videos Mike made in the next day or so. And did I mention Logan woke up Christmas morning at 3 am, throwing up on me! It took all that we could handle to change the bed sheets without waking Noah up and having Christmas at 3 am. Uh well, memories!]
