warm and fuzzy holiday

the official countdown can now begin, Christmas break has begun!
It was such an amazing start to break already. Mike and I  enjoyed our shopping-date night on Thursday! We laughed, held hands, and perused our favorite stores without having to chase a two year old around. Perfect. We can't wait to do it again, but we were happy to come home to our happy babies and their fun gingerbread creations!

Friday was wild and crazy all day at school but lots of fun. We had a pajama party-cookie exchange where we watched movies, passed out presents and crafts and drank hot cocoa. Lots and lots of fun to be had. We surprised the boys after school with a helicopter ride around Juneau to see the lights! It's a Juneau tradition/fundraiser for the Lyon's Club, and tons of Juneauites come out for the ride. Santa even decided to show up!  The boys were blown away and LOVED it so much. It is for sure a new family tradition. I wasn't allowed to take flash photos around the helicopters flying (would hate to blind the pilots!) so this iphone photo was all I got.

Today was catch up day, lots of errands, cleaning and Costco dogs for the boys.

Tonight I am laying low, wrapping presents, drinking peppermint tea and homemade Christmas cookies. Pretty perfect.

Night.
